Dr Geetika Gangwani (PT)

Geetika started her career as a physiotherapist and further pursued postgraduate diploma in hospital management.

Drawn in by her interest in supporting women and couples during the birthing process, she went on to become an 'Antenatal educator'.She has had over 12 years' experience working with couples achieve their birth choices and encouraging women to bond with their babies and successfully breastfeed. Over the years she has upped her qualifications to work as a Birth Educator, Hypno birthing Practitioner and is now an International board certified Lactation consultant.


She has been with Fortis Mamma Mia since its inception in 2011 and is now the Business head for Mamma Mia and is actively working towards nurturing, growing and advancing Mamma Mia services.

She is fond of reading, travelling, cooking and is a diehard cricket fan.

Dr Pallavi Chugh (PT)

Pallavi is a qualified physiotherapist, fitness/yoga trainer, certified lactation consultant, and reiki practitioner. Having done her MPT in orthopedics in 2011, she has been providing physiotherapy management both for orthopedic and gynecological conditions, along with the ante-natal and post-natal counseling.

Realizing the importance of fitness in pregnancy and childbirth, she has been working with pregnant women conducting pre natal and post natal fitness classes since then. Being a trained reiki practitioner, her experience in Reiki helps in holistic healing and well-being of her patients. In her holistic approach towards dealing with the clients, all parts of a person's life (physical healing, mental health and wellness, emotional well-being, and spiritual beliefs and values) are considered. Passionate about her work and dedicated to helping mothers through their parenting journey, she also provides lactation support to the breastfeeding mothers. She is known to have impressive managerial skills and owns great feedbacks from her clients in dealing with pregnancy related concerns.

Dr Sharma is one of the pioneer's in women's health physical therapy in India with over 25 years of experience. She has been passionately working with women providing information, support and solutions during pregnancy , labor and post birth issues. Her work primarily focusses on prevention as she works with a young woman through her reproductive phase and on assessment and treatment of pelvic dysfunctions including pelvic pain, bladder/ bowel issues and pelvic organ prolapse.

Anita's in-depth knowledge of biomechanics and physiology of musculoskeletal system acquired while teaching at IGIPESS , Delhi University enhanced her skills as a manual therapist and her ability to teach and train adults. These skills are evident when she is seen working as a doula helping women go through labor and the comfort a young couple experiences in her Lamaze classes.

Before joining Fortis group of hospitals she worked at the Cheltanham General Hospital,UK, and was responsible for setting up physical therapy units in over five South Delhi nursing homes on her return to India.

In order to complete the help she provides to a young mother Anita also certified as a lactation consultant from the International Board of Lactation Consultants. Her special area of interest is working with mothers and surrogate/adopted babies to establish lactation . Her past experience of working in NICU's as a physical therapist helps her to work easily with premies and neonates with feeding issues.

Along with the teams at Fortis La Femme and the Breast Milk foundation she has worked to set up the first Human Milk bank in Delhi, Amaara.

She has presented papers and case studies at national and international forums. Anita has been covered several times by national television,daily newspapers and magazines on issues relating to women's health.

Conducting information classes for expecting couples, promoting wellbeing via pre/post fitness classes, helping mothers during their delivery and post pregnancy weight loss classes are her key interests. Kavita has over 7 years of experience in the field of Fitness and Obstetric physiotherapy. She is trained in exercises to elevate the energy level, strengthen the body for labour and managing Recently she also got trained in Ramona Braganza's "Baby Bulge Be Gone 321" program for Postnatal Mothers.

Rinya is one the most experienced massage therapist in Mamma Mia team. She has done her training from College of Reproductive Health (UK) specializing in pre-postnatal massage and reflexology and has over 10 years of experience under her belt.

She is also skilled in induction massage helping expecting mothers go into labour naturally as well as lactation reflexology for new mothers. She also does holistic fertility therapies for women who are trying to conceive. She is very passionate about using her knowledge and aspires to be a trainer for massage therapist.

Apurva is a qualified physiotherapist and has completed Masters in Physiotherapy (Sports) from IP University in the year 2013. Her keen interest in fitness led her to pursue aerobics instructor course from the Indian Academy of Fitness Training (Mangalore).

During her experience as a free lancer, she realized the immense scope and importance of exercise during pregnancy following which she joined Mamma Mia as pre/post natal fitness trainer.

Working with expecting mom's and helping them stay fit during this period has helped Apurva grow as a stronger both professionally & personally. She is passionate about facing new challenges everyday as they push her to strive beyond her comfort limits and helps her in enhancing her skills. Shilpi did her graduation from IAMR, Ghaziabad in 2008. Her association with the maternity services started during her internship, from the time she started conducting the ante/post natal classes for expecting mothers.

This association strengthened her interest in maternity services and encouraged her to work as a free lancer with a gynecologist for 3 years educating mother's to be through childbirth classes and fitness programs. She is a BPNI certified lactation consultant and infant and young child feeding counselor. Adding feathers to her hat is her super specialization in physiotherapy ( orthopedics) from Jamia Hamdard University in 2011, her certifications in Manual therapy and fellowship in neurological rehabilitation from Medvarsity.

Dr Rabia Kapur (PT) joined us as a fitness consultant in October 2015 and now has moved on to becoming the Center Manager for Mamma Mia at Fortis Mohali.

She has been an industrious physiotherapist for the past 7years and has attended several national conferences on physiotherapy.

Ever since her graduation, she has developed keen interest in the field of rehabilitation and women's health. She is well known among her clients for her expertise in handling pregnancy related concerns through physiotherapy, educating them through childbirth education classes, helping them stay fit through pregnancy yoga and exercise and easing their anxieties via meditation sessions. She is a trained lactation counsellor and has assisted numerous new mothers in establishing successful breastfeeding practices with their new born.

Her interests include practicing 'Art of living', working for social causes like de-addiction as well as supporting the under privileged. She draws her zeal to work from her 4 year old son Maulik.

Yade is a professional massage therapist and has 2 years of experience specializing in Prenatal and Postnatal Massage Therapy and Reflexology. Specializing in pre-postnatal massage and reflexology, Julia has over 5 years of experience under her belt. She is also skilled in induction massage helping expecting mothers go into labor naturally as well as lactation reflexology for new mothers.

She is very passionate about her work and looks forward in helping more and more expecting and delivered mums each day.

With 22 years of experience, Jenifer is a qualified nurse and has been associated with Fortis Hospital, Bangalore since 2011. Known for a compassionate attitude, she is favorite among the patients for her patience and self-less approach.

Her research topic was "The effect of antenatal education and fitness on the birth experience and the coping strategies post- delivery ". Susanah belongs to the beautiful state of Manipur. She has been a part of Mamma Mia team since May 2014. After working at Fortis La Femme, Delhi she moved to Mamma Mia Vashi as a massage therapist.

With over 6 years of experience as a therapist, Susan is the most sought therapist due to her expertise in pregnancy and post pregnancy massages. She has also helped numerous mothers-to-be to start with the labor naturally by induction massage. Susan has also helped mothers undergoing IVF treatments with her fertility therapies.
